AMPLA
Returns to Culturgest for its 4th edition with a selection of award-winning films from 2024 at major Portuguese cinema festivals, such as Curtas Vila do Conde, IndieLisboa, MOTELX, MONSTRA, Queer Lisboa, CINANIMA, among others.
This is a unique opportunity to watch the best contemporary national and international cinema, with a diverse program featuring both short and feature-length films, including documentaries, fiction, animation, and horror films, while also offering sessions aimed at younger audiences (also open to schools).
At AMPLA, we believe that culture is a universal right and that access to cinema should not be hindered by physical, sensory or intellectual barriers. With this vision, we strive to ensure a truly inclusive experience, so that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, can fully enjoy our program.
The accessibility resources we provide reflect our values: ensuring equal access to cultural participation by promoting autonomy and free choice for all audiences. To this end, we offer audio description, descriptive subtitles, Portuguese Sign Language interpretation, relaxed sessions and accessible spaces to ensure that no one is left out.
In parallel with the cinema program, there will be a talk titled “Accessibility in Cinema: Who Takes the First Step?”and a workshop “Narratives in Motion: The Power of Documentary.”
